Period of employment is from April 1, 2022 through October 31, 2022, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (schedule may vary as needed) must be willing to work overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays (as needed). Overtime (for work in excess of 40 hours per week) will be paid at a rate of $19.85 per hour. Must have minimum of three months experience as a short order cook. All tools and equipment needed to perform the job will be provided by the employer. All work to be performed in Leelanau County, Michigan.
Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12 week period of the total employment.
This job order is being placed in connection with a concurrent application for H-2B nonimmigrant workers. The employer will not offer US workers anything less than the same benefits, wages and working conditions as the employer is offering or intends to offer or provide to the H-2B workers. The employer will not impose any restrictions or obligations on the US workers that will not be imposed on the H-2B workers. The requirements and qualifications for this position are consistent with the normally accepted qualifications and requirements for workers in the same occupation in the Aemployer's area of employment. A single work week will be used in computing the wage is due. Wages will be paid on a biweekly basis. All visa, order and other related fees will be reimbursed to the employee during the first workweek of employment.
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract., The employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work period upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported the worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances traveled. All daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $13.17 per day during travel to a maximum of $55 per day with receipts. The employee is responsible for daily transportation to and from the worksite.
The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law. The employer does not intend to make deductions from the worker's paycheck which are not required by law.
