Position Summary:
Assist in the coordination of the casino in all advertising and marketing efforts while performing responsibilities in accordance with Company standards, policies, and procedures. Responsible for providing support and assistance in various avenues of the marketing department including, but not limited to; advertising, social media, promotions, and special events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino's "Unsurpassed Service" standards at all times.
Plan, organize, coordinate, promote, facilitate and supervise property special events (both on and off property), community events, entertainment, and promotional drawings.
Assist in the creation/proofing promotional rules and promotional advertising material through various channels including social media.
Evaluate and comprehend results of special events, entertainment, and/or promotional drawings.
Responsible for managing the flow of communication for promotional and entertainment efforts with tribal officials and the casino team.
Responsible for having a granular understanding of competitors marketing programs and efforts through research.
Comprehend and track the financial impact of decisions made to the property's bottom line.
Provide Marketing team with support in building promotional drawings, offers, and coupons within various marketing programs.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Associate's Degree required in Marketing or related field. Will consider candidates with two (2) or more years' experience with a promotional, special events, advertising, hospitality, or sales background.
Flexibility to work any shift to assist the Team.
Strong background with proper grammar and proofreading.
Able to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
Ability to make progress and/or handle multiple assignments under time constraints.
Ability to deal with interpersonal situations that may be difficult to resolve when working with upset/irate Guests.
Creative, outgoing personality with a strong customer service background and leadership skills.
Strong background in social media.
Comfortable with public speaking under spotlights with big crowds.
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, Management, and Media, both in written and verbal form; with or without a microphone.
Strong understanding of computers and the ability to learn new software programs in a timely fashion.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
Ability to climb, bend, reach, walk and stand for the duration of shift.
Ability to push, pull, transport, and maneuver items weighing up to 50lbs. with or without assistance for an extended amount of time.
Work Conditions:
Work may be performed in an office environment. However, work will typically be conducted in the casino which may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain secondhand smoke. Tasks will also be performed from a sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned areas. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work is performed in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
