Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities:
Inspect all field installation and Outside Plant work performed by technicians and subcontractors.
Assess the work performed in accordance to all MSO and technical specifications.
Generate complete reports to management reflecting the quality of the work performed.
Perform or assign necessary repairs and/or modifications to meet specifications.
Complete all safety and QC related paperwork, data entry, and reporting processes.
Coach employees and subcontractors as needed as part of a continuous improvement process and initial new-hire training program.
Interface with subscribers and customers to address quality related complaints generated from work performed by Kanaan employees and subcontractors.
Perform local safety inspections and preliminary incident investigations on site as needed.
Manage materials and coordinate joint trench projects with electrical contractors.
Adhere to and set the example for all safety policies. Promote and ensure quality and safety from each technician.
Make continuous recommendations and suggestions for additional quality improvement and installation efficiencies.
Qualifications:
1 year Telecommunication experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to read and understand maps and blue prints.
Able to read and understand written or verbal instructions and work orders.
Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
Excellent time management skills
Able to multitask and prioritize.
Knowledge of Coax and Fiber systems.
Working knowledge of survey fundamentals for telecommunications.
Able to communicate with customers in a positive, professional manner.
Able to work outside in all types of weather.
Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check.
Must possess a valid driver's license of at least 2 years
