What You Will Do
Ascension St. John Hospital is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician for our Pediatric Department.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascenesion St. John Hospital to work as a faculty member.
Ascension St. John Children's Center is located in Detroit, Michigan on the campus of Ascension St. John Hospital.
Faculty Responsibilities:
Supervision of students and residents
Didactic and clinical teaching
Lecture Presentations
Mix of inpatient & outpatient responsibilities
Inpatient rounding LDRP, Special Care Nursery and Pediatric Floor
Outpatient visits consist of preventive and well-checks, physicals, acute care, mediation management for asthma, ADHD, etc.
Call Schedule:
Night Call: 1 in 9 days (averages 3-4 night calls per month)
Weekend calls are rotated among the group (5-6 weekends per year)
Office Hours:
Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5pm
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Preferred Credential(s):
Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Education:
Work Experience:
- Interest in working with medical students and residents
