Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work from verbal and written instructions
Work effectively in a team environment
Read and follow work instructions, processes, procedures
Understand 5S and lean principles and demonstrate ability to apply them to the machining process
Ability to be trained on and understand the Thermoforming and CNC software
Working knowledge of sheet stock and how to cut or form on the applicable machines
Ability to learn proper maintenance of the Thermoformers and CNC machines
Daily or weekly scrubbing of warehouse floors
Ability to move and setup tools and fixtures on various machines
Ability to read blueprints to ensure proper part is in spec.
Help in the assembly work cells as needed
Assist the team leader with training
Correctly fill out scrap / wip tickets
Cross train on multiple jobs
Adhere to general shop 5S housekeeping policies
Arrive at workstation on time everyday
Use tools and equipment safely
Consistently perform error free work
Consistently perform tasks at appropriate operator cycle times
Utilize business reading and writing skills
Participate in Continuous Improvement Program
Consistently work in a safe manner
Maintain professional behavior and attitude
Other duties as assigned

Additional Requirements

Frequent bending and lifting and/or moving product weighing up to 40 pounds
This position requires a physical presence on Nuvar’s premises with a minimum of an eight hour day for five days with some overtime.
Must pass a drug screen and background
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write and communicate in an effective manner
Computer skills preferred
