CMS Energy is looking for an Executive Assistant to join the Consumers Energy family to support our Vice President of Operations Performance. Our top candidate is highly self-motivated, organized, adaptable and has demonstrated high proficiency in fundamental Executive Assistant duties. Interpersonal skills, with a track record of building positive working relations at all levels of an organization, will be critical in this role.
This position will be remote/virtual until it's deemed safe to return to the office. At that time, while the work location will be flexible for the role, we anticipate travel to Jackson, Michigan two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Representing the Vice President of Operations Performance by welcoming visitors, arranging department functions and special events
- Handling complex integration of conflicting calendar priorities; ensuring the optimization of time and travel.
- Reading, analyzing and routing incoming email with appropriate files or materials attached to be answered. Composing correspondence, reports or material for signature, and answering questions and meeting requests on behalf of the Vice President
- Completing a variety of administrative support tasks, including answering phones, filing, typing, creating / modifying complex documents (Microsoft Word and PDF) preparing presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint), creating and modifying spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), making copies, arranging meetings, creating agendas, organizing and maintaining a busy calendar(Microsoft Outlook), One Note, etc.
- Completing projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving, and making adjustments to plans
- Researching and preparing memos, reports, data, and other informational materials as requested or deemed necessary
- Arranging corporate travel and meetings by developing itineraries, scheduling flights or booking other transportation, arranging lodging and meeting accommodations. Preparing and reviewing Expense Reports
- Preparing reports and financial data
- Completing projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving, and making adjustments to plans
- Work cooperatively with others toward common group objectives, demonstrates respect for the ideas and contributions of other team members, cultivates positive relationships with other associates, facilitates difficult discussions, and provides assistance and support to others
- Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years of applicable experience

Hours and Travel
