Tenneco, Inc. has recently acquired Federal Mogul. The strategic combination of Tenneco's Ride Performance business with Federal-Mogul's Motorparts business will establish a global aftermarket leader with an impressive portfolio of some of the strongest brands in the aftermarket including Monroe®, Walker®, Wagner®, Champion®, Fel-Pro® and MOOG®. The company's broader aftermarket product coverage, stronger distribution channels, and enhanced channel development will strengthen its position in established and high growth markets (China and India), and drive success through new mobility models and capturing evolving e-commerce opportunities.
We are looking for a Finance Director, Business Development and M&A. This position will report directly to the Executive Director, Business Development and M&A and function as a leader in defining, evaluating, recommending and executing strategic objectives and related tactical initiatives for the Motorparts operating segment. Specifically, the Director, Business Development and M&A, will provide leadership and direction as to the development and execution of Motorparts short, medium and long-term strategic goals and tactical financial projects. The Director, Business Development and M&A, will oversee business case analysis, strategic initiative development and execution (including the M&A transaction process), and certain aspects of the business financial planning cycle. This high visibility role requires interaction with executive level leadership, strong excel and effective communication and presentation skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct multiple strategic projects in various stages including the complete M&A transaction cycle (acquisitions/divestitures) and business case development related to wind downs, make vs. buy decisions, joint ventures/partnerships, new business/ market development, portfolio or footprint rationalization, Brand or License arrangements, restructurings or other continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives.
Oversee the preparation and review of Business Case analysis including but not limited to the following:
Analysis of various strategic alternatives and the impact on the business and shareholders
Comprehensive financial models to support the Business Case
Executive and BOD level presentations to support rationale
Lead financial planning projects or processes associated with the organizations balanced scorecard performance measures such as:
Cash management projects focused on the identification, quantification, and monitoring of short and long-term cash conversion initiatives, and;
The annual business planning cycle including the implementation of short and long-range strategic targets across business lines.
Partner with the Business Unit and Functional Leaders (Business Intelligence, Accounting/Finance, Tax, Legal, Product Line, Supply Chain) as well as external advisors on key inputs and assumptions driving strategic decision making and tactical execution.
Develop and oversee the execution of processes, procedures and frameworks to (i) standardize tools, actions and outputs ("Playbook") associated with strategic initiative evaluation and execution, and (ii) research, track and monitor strategic acquisition targets or divestiture opportunities and related evaluation across product lines and regions.
Required Experience
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
8+ Years related experience in fields such as corporate development, strategy/strategic planning, investment banking, transaction services, corporate finance or FP&A.
Strong business and financial acumen; robust analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others without direct authority to get projects accomplished.
Expert financial analysis and model building oversight skills - ability to review, critique and drive refinements to complex financial models.
Knowledge of automotive industry and innovative technology preferred.
Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills; at ease with both business and technical topics.
