Position Summary
This position will work with Dr. Ding in the development of imaging techniques using Atomic Force Microscopy, single molecule spectroscopy and Coherent Raman Scattering Microscopy for in vivo and in situ characterization of plant cell walls, biomass degradation enzymes and microbes.
This position is available for one year with possible renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and available funding. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Doctorate
Minimum Requirements
Rrequires a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry or related field. Hans-on experience in lasers, optics and spectroscopy. Proficiency with software tools like Matlab, Labview, and other computation tools for image analysis.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in imaging biomaterials, such as plant cell walls, or living tissue or cells.
