Additional Job Details: Full-Time nights (additional 8% shift differential), 7:00pm to 7:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.

As a Registered Nurse, you are an essential part of our success stories within our Healthcare system.
This unit is a 45-bed, fast-paced Medical/Surgical - Oncology Unit. We have post-op surgical patients, typically gall bladders, weight loss surgery, ENT surgery and handful of orthopedic surgeries. We get Med/Surg admits including COPD, diabetics, patients going through withdrawal and/or needing medical clearance for psychiatry placement, as well as Oncology patients. Chemo certification, epidural training, holistic certification classes are all available. If you want to make a difference, we want you!

What You Will Do
As an associate with Ascension Michigan, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
