Overview
PURPOSE
The Senior Income Tax Analyst will assist in all areas of US income taxation, including income tax compliance and audits, quarterly and year-end tax provisions, and tax planning projects.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Prepare federal, state/local income and franchise tax working papers and tax returns and support calculations
Prepare extensions and estimated tax payment calculations
Assist with federal and state/local income tax audits
Prepare/assist with quarterly and annual tax provision, tax reporting, and supporting working papers
Reconciliation tax accounts in general ledger
Perform tax research, document and present findings on issues affecting the US tax structure
Assist with transfer pricing documentation preparation
Provide assistance on special projects
Keep abreast of changes in tax statutes and regulations, incorporate relevant changes
Maintain personal and corporate integrity in all actions

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
- Regular interaction with Financial Planning & Analysis and Corporate Consolidations to ensure proper interpretation of book results as well as the appropriate reporting of tax for financial reporting purposes, communication with Accounts Payable and Treasury to ensure timely payment of tax liabilities.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: Bachelor or Undergraduate Degree
Additional Education Preferred: Masters or Graduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Tax Accounting or Tax Law
Required Work Experience: 4 years of corporate income tax experience including participation in advanced tax research and planning projects
Required Training/Certifications:
Licenses Preferred: CPA or Master of Tax preferred
Required Computer and Software Skills:Experience with OneSource and advanced Excel skills required. SAP a plus.
Travel Requirements: less than 10%
Additional Requirements:
Previous experience with multinational manufacturing companies
Possess a high level of technical US federal and state/local income tax skills
Be well organized and detail oriented
Have excellent oral and written communications skills
Able to work as a member of diverse teams including members from different functional areas (including Treasury, Accounting and Finance) and locations
A mixture of accounting firm and corporate experience is preferred
Must be able to apply tax principles consistent with sound business practices
Demonstrated strong judgment abilities
US federal and state/local tax compliance and tax accounting experience required
Experience using tax research tools and familiarity with sophisticated tax concepts preferred
