JOB DESCRIPTION
Regional Lead Responsibilities - reports to Americas Trim SMTE leader
*Support Product Engineering team for lessons learned and customer quotes.
*Technical and company-specific know-how transfer;
*Is a reference in own expertise domain and registered as an expert available for entity/commodity;
*Provides specific subject matter technical expertise to the SDT;
*Continuously increases in depth knowledge of product and process through reverse engineering and best business practices sharing;
*Support teams in technical choices, shows the right direction for projects and discloses knowledge to teams or to beginners;
*Set-up and develop specific area of expertise within Product Engineering including innovation and platform development, defining system architectures in his/her technical domain, planning of Adient product platforms etc;
*Train respective employee groups on expertise knowledge;
*Implementation and usage of Adient standards and systems (BOS, PLUS, Lean, CPP, CMP, BEP, TC, PKR, DKD, DFMEA, SCIO, DFAM.) and ensure the documentation of the processes;
*Incorporate new system opportunities or customer regulations;
*Create technical presentations
*Collaborate / coordinate
*Conducting feasibility discussions with suppliers for known and proven technologies;
*Communicate with principal engineers and business managers and shares best business practices
*Check and release
*Prepares technical strategic decisions for the respective product;
*Close cooperation with concerned departments of OEMs and ensure maintenance and contribution to partnerships for the development area.
*Support Program teams through Problem Solving, Risk Management ,Brainstorming ideas.
*Support MBBP / Purchasing (new supplier assessment, VA/VE events, Preferred Solution sets);
*Develop and evaluate plans to solve complex engineering challenges.
Regional Lead Qualifications
*BS in Engineering or equivalent
*10 years seating trim experience
