Curriculum and Instruction Specialist
Part-time M-F 11 am to 5 pm
50% office 50% remote
Brightmont Academy is seeking a dynamic professional to join our Academic team. This position offers the opportunity to assist our team of remote teachers with our organization's internal systems, digital academics software, and classroom instruction. Experience building curriculum, programs, and training a must. Background in secondary education is a plus!
Key Tasks:
Assess instructional and curriculum needs and gaps
Develop objectives that will address gaps, improve performance
Design content that blends the topics of Special Education, Education Leadership, and Adult Learning Theories.
Deliver course materials, mostly webinar, for ongoing learning and professional development
Develop and utilize performance metrics to determine the effectiveness of training programs
Ensure required staff training is completed, including utilizing follow up surveys for quality assurance and continuous improvement purposes
Maintain and update course catalog courses, programs and products
Maintain databases and reports as required
Summary of Qualifications:
Bachelor in Education, Special Education, Program Management
Adept in managing training projects, including problem-solving and creatively building solutions
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
Team-orientated with the ability to work independently
Self-starter that takes initiative and engages with departmental goals
Availability to work daytime hours up to 5 pm (2 days on campuses, 2 to 3 days remote)
Ability to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, and assess employee training needs in an effort to fulfill the organization's mission
