Business Development Account Manager
salaried position including commission + bonus
Skills - Must have's include previous accomplishments in life. We don't care about sales numbers at another job, after all, what does that say about you personally? You might have just been at the right place at the right time. What we want is someone who can prove they have the skill to succeed... period. We're a training organization, we'll teach you the right business skills.
Experience - See above.
Attitude - Howard Schultz was once asked how he teaches his baristas to smile when they take your order at Starbucks... his response was, "you can't teach people how to smile. They either do that already or they never will." We're looking for a seller who has the attitude we don't want to teach, because after all you either have it or you don't. We want someone who looks at the right side of the problem. They drive to find solutions and they can look at it from an unemotional lens. If you don't do that, don't submit a resume... please and thank you.
Results - Again, we're not interested in past performance from a sales career. What we want is someone who can show results over the course of their life outside of business. The right candidate for the role can clearly describe examples in their life where they have been faced with problems/opportunities, they chose a course, and they worked a plan to the end. Did it go well? Really doesn't matter... After all, if you took a risk and learned something, even though you might have failed, you're what we want.
Cognitive Skills - Has to read and write good (it’s "well", if you caught that, then you probably have the cognitive skills we require)
Habits - What you do with unconscious repetition is what you'll always revert to over time. We're looking for a candidate that habitually shows leadership, personal development, and an appetite for learning and growing in everything that they do. Examples will be asked for, challenged, and questioned for validity
