The Department Pathology seeks to fill a full-time Clinical Subjects Associate position. This position will collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects as well as assisting in the procurement of specimens.
- Collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects.
- Screen and has oversight for the recruitment of subjects
- Assist with scheduling of experiments and the collection, processing and analysis of data.
- Assist in completing all patient research data; prepare appropriate reports for investigators and/or sponsors including maintaining and completing the supplied case report forms.
- Manage and coordinate data related to patient participation in studies, work flow as needed by multiple studies.
- Coordinate recruitment of patients and consent patients for each study.
- Work with clinic staff to procure specimens.
- Enter research and clinical information into the internal database in a timely manner.
- Computer efficiency required (Microsoft Word, Access, Excel)
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work well under time constraints and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cooperatively
- Need reliable transportation to travel to various clinic sites
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA and data security
- Strong passion for ideas, learning, and knowledge and ability to adapt to changing needs
- Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures
- Experience with Mi-Chart and other University systems
M-F, 8:00-4:30 (hours may vary dependent on clinic schedule)
- This will be a term-limited position
- The Study Coordinator will be involved in the Immunity Associated with SARs-CoV-2 NIH grant study.
