Position Summary:
This role will be supporting the build out of a world-class commerce platform that will make learning about and purchasing vehicles intuitive and seamless. You will be developing large scale client-side applications using the latest javascript features, frameworks and tooling.
Essential Duties:
Create client-side applications along the the customer journey that range from buying merchandise from store, configuring their vehicles to scheduling their service
Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product designers to build user-friendly, immersive, reactive applications
Develop state of the art code with a keen eye on profiling , browser memory usage, load time of the apps
Consistently write useful tests for all code developed, ensuring a high quality bar is maintained
Define specification and design software, coordinate with customer on requirement and delivery
Create schedule, maintain schedule, share status reports to management
Able to help team debugging programs and fix errors or bugs
Software Architecture Design, developing software programs, writing algorithms, source code management, deployment, sign off and maintenance
Source code management, define standards, manage change process, deployment
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering: Mechanical, Electronics, IT Engineering or Associates degree with relevant recent equivalent experience.
5 to 10 years relevant recent experience.
Experience building distributed systems at scale which can handle millions of transactions/second
Node, Javascript, React or other JS framework experience
HTML5, CSS/SASS, Restful APIs, JSON, HTTP
5 years of experience with the following:
AWS Amplify (Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, Appsync, Dynamo DB, RDBMS), Lambda, Serverless, React, React Native, Python, JavaScript
Great understanding of SEO principles
Excellent understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues as well as the ability to debug
Meticulous around visibility of the systems you build - metrics, centralized logging, tracing
Dedicated to unit, integration testing and coverage - comfortable using tools of the trade on profiling, source control
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
