Description:
Responsible for the successful functioning of the nursing support staff in the ambulatory/physician's office. Utilizes nursing assessment skills and clinical protocol guidelines in a decision making capacity to provide timely and efficient patient care via the telephone. Assures patients are scheduled for appointments as appropriate or provided direction based on consultation with a provider. Performs nursing protocols (i.e First OB, Medication Refill and others as applicable and approved).Assists the Site Manager with ensuring the office activities are consistent with the corporate goals and objectives. Promotes the team approach to health care. Responsible for patient flow, nursing procedures, triage and protocols. Performs duties as delegated within the scope of education and validated competencies. Performs clerical functions, all functions of a Medical Assistant, and environmental duties to support team objectives.
