Location: Elmira, Michigan SUMMARY The Maintenance Engineer will provide maintenance and engineering services and support to the maintenance team. This position will also be responsible for leading and developing corrective actions to improve equipment uptime. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures. * Designing and modifying equipment parts to promote continuous improvement. * Creates instructions for routine/running maintenance. * Works with maintenance team and operations in problem solving events. * Diagnoses equipment problems and implements corrective actions. * Introduces internal training for maintenance team. * Manages equipment documentation and associated drawings. * Generates part drawings as needed. * Collect required data to evaluate and refine frequencies of predictive and preventive tasks. * Work closely with reliability team to perform reliability studies on critical equipment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervises and manages on-site contractors for maintenance services and repairs. * Supervises and leads projects as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE * Able to use MS Office products * AutoCAD * SOLIDWORKS * Able to read schematics * Basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
