Position Title: Healthcare Analyst/Data Engineer
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week
Location: 500 Renaissance Center, Tower 500, Detroit, MI 48243
Job Duties:
Plan, organize, analyze, extract, collect and maintain data for program performance assessments. Assist in the coordination of data and technical content in support of the Healthcare Value Evaluations team. Utilize reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) packages to provide comprehensive data reporting and analysis. Test and develop ETL procedures and develop data infrastructure.
Qualifications:
At least a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or related field. Also requires 4 years of post-bachelor’s progressive experience as an analyst or closely related occupation working with healthcare data.
Skills:
Also requires at least 4 years of experience with the following (which may have been obtained concurrently):
• Researching, compiling, optimizing and analyzing appropriate and relevant data and recommendations for operational improvements;
• Supporting bug fixing and performance analysis for data, building ETL jobs, and developing appropriate infrastructure;
• Teradata, MySQL, or SQL;
• Informatica, QlikView, Tableau, Cognos BI Suite, or similar reporting and BI packages;
• SQL Server or Oracle; and
• Proof of concept with Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Spark, Hbase and Hive.
