Our Mason plant leadership team needs an HR partner who will bring strategy and structure to the supervisors, managers and employees in the facility. As the HR Manager you will align your efforts to the plant's goals and objectives, while enhancing the plant’s human resources.
Having a customer focused mind-set and collaborative approach will help you partner with plant leadership on:
- Effectively driving business results and achieving company goals
- Lead, implement and champion people-related programs and initiatives
- Create a positive experience for employees throughout the employment life cycle
This facility produces many of our well-known foodservice packaging products. You will lead HR who supports approximately 200 employees in our Mason manufacturing facility.
Core Skills and Qualifications
The ideal HR Manager candidate must possess:
- One of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or related field and five (5) years of progressive HR experience
- High School diploma with eight (8) years of progressive HR experience
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience managing HR staff
- Two (2) years of experience consulting management on complex employee relations, and organizational effectiveness issues
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Solid understanding of key HR metrics and a general knowledge of principles/practices of HR Management
- Advanced understanding and practical application of common local, State and federal HR/employment-related laws and regulations, such as FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain issues
- Strong presentation, organizational, and analytical skills
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Advanced computer skills and demonstrated ability to use HR information systems to generate reports, analyze data, and interpret results
- Advanced understanding of root cause analysis and other process improvement methodologies
- Ability to develop creative solutions to non-routine problems, master new concepts quickly and efficiently, and need the ability to turn concepts into practical application/action
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10% (travel is not the norm but may be required occasionally)
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
- Favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Bilingual ability with English and Spanish
- HR experience in a production environment
- HR Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
- HR Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Labor relations experience
- Experience with SuccessFactors/SAP HCM
