Overview of Job Function:
This position is responsible for negotiating contracts, transactions and other matters related to customers and prospects and identifying and evaluating the customer's needs in regards to Verint's business model. The position is also responsible for reaching a consensus through cross functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Services, Support, Product House, Human Resources and our customers; drafting clear and precise terms to accurately reflect agreement; advise/counsel Sales regarding contractual matters, and understand all legal and business concepts relating to software licensing agreements.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
Drive and manage negotiations of moderately complex agreements and other legal documents with minimal management oversight or involvement.
Prepare drafts of agreements, amendments, addenda, contractual terms and exhibits that are moderate to complex and those that are non-routine with minimal management oversight or involvement.
Advise and provide counsel to Sales and Finance on contractual issues.
Manage, review, verify, and maintain required approvals for extraordinary provisions.
Maintain current knowledge of software licensing and SaaS terms, and revenue recognition policies.
Manage and participate in complex projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
10+ years negotiating and drafting software licensing, SaaS and IP agreements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills and detailed oriented.
Understanding of software revenue recognition rules.
Work independently with minimal supervision, in high-stress situations, and prioritize workload.
Strong presentation, leadership and team building skills.
Take and provide direction.
Use independent judgment/decision making.
Communicate effectively across the organization, including with upper management.
Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations
The ability to obtain the necessary credit line required to travel.
5-10% of travel within the US/Canada but could increase up to 20%.
