Company in Portage, MI is looking for a 2nd shift Process Technician/Supervisor to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.
Responsibilities
Responsible to maintain optimum uptime of required presses. Position requires to maintain proper cycle time, optimum throughput, Lowest possible scrap and rework. Success is measured through SPQDC system as well as KPI tracking.
* Responsible for machine start-ups
* Ability to trouble shoot processing issue in most efficient manner
* Work with injection molding machines and secondary equipment on tooling issues to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
* Ensure machines are running at optimum efficiency
* Manage material supply to press to ensure proper uptime
* Report to Manager any difficulties or problems requiring special attention.
* Responsible for the accurate completion of Process Verification, and Tool Reports as required.
* Responsible for completion of die change activities with Die Setter for efficient change over
* Ensures proper care of all equipment
* Maintain safe environment and follow company policy and processes
* Audit processes and follow quality requirements
* Prepare shift report with accurate information
Qualifications
* Plastic injection molding experience and knowledge a must.
* Prior experience in Plastic Injection Molding, including mold changes, hydraulics and electrical
* Education to support Mold Set-Ups, Trouble Shooting
* Computer skills including machine control
* Skills to perform process parameters of all presses operating during scheduled shift
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated math skills and mechanical ability to use tools
Compensation:
$16.00/hr - $23.00/hr
