This is a weekend shift position from 6:00am - 6:00pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
As a Steel Storage Attendant, you will perform all steel storage functions per work instructions. Steel storage duties include but are not limited to receiving and checking in all bar stock necessary for the production of couplings. Will perform receiving inspection, and verify bar stock against purchase order requirements. May expedite orders with Schedulers to ensure proper materials are in house.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Follow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record same.?
Coordinate stock delivery times with truck drivers.?
Maintain stock records for traceability.?
Stage steel for machine operators on a timely basis.?
Cycle count inventory, maintain andmake adjustments tosame in established systems.?
Utilize the available computer software programs as required.?
Operate the overhead crane to move material and unload trucks.?
Identify equipment irregularities and/or malfunctions and make correction or notify proper person.?
Work safely at all timesand comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices.?
Keep work area, equipment, machines, etc. clean and orderly at alltimes..?
Offer suggestions for improving productivity, process, safety, or work environment?
Perform other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager, orotherdesignated person.?
Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems. Must also maintain a good working relationship with others within the organization.
Basic?Qualifications:
? 1 yearoverhead crane experience
Intermediate proficiency with SAP
Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Previous inventory management experience
Ability to complete basic math?
Use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of processes within the limitations of standard methods and procedures?
Ability to effectively communicate with others?
Team attitude
