Position Summary:
- Provides leadership and direction for the development and growth of school health programs, improvement strategies with the Spectrum Health vision to be a leader in health care and mission to improve the health of the community.
- Works in conjunction with Spectrum Health, community leadership, and school administrators for the identification, feasibility, implementation and evaluation of school health programs across the region.
- Works closely with internal and external partners.
- Manages School Health Program staff.
- Primary and/or secondary education preferred with experience with school nursing.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Community Health, Education or related fields or equivalent in related field.
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Community Health, Education, Business Administration or related field to be obtained within 7 years of hire into this position.
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience - 5 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in Emergency Room, Intensive Care, Pediatrics, Community Health, or School Nursing Leadership, Management or Supervisory Experience with Program Planning and Development and Evaluation Experience working in an organization of size and complexity comparable to Spectrum Health.
