Position Summary
The Department of Art, Art History, and Design at Michigan State University is currently establishing a pool of fixed term assistant professors, instructors, and assistant instructors. These positions will be filled per course/per semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this pool are reviewed when the program has an immediate need to fill a vacancy within a two-year period. Positions could begin as early as January 1, 2019.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Studio Art. Courses include: Drawing I; Color and Design; Three-Dimensional Form; Photography I and/or selected courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, inter- and electronic-media, and photography.
Required Degree
Doctorate -Studio Art
Minimum Requirements
- MFA in Studio Art, or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
