BOSS is a leader in the snow and ice management business with a growing lineup of plows for trucks, UTVs and ATVs, salt and sand spreaders, and box plows built for the snow and ice management professional, as well as the homeowner. What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Lead, coordinate, and implement manufacturing improvements.
Provide engineering support directly for manufacturing processes.
Design and supervise the construction of fixtures/tooling.
Initiate and lead Lean Manufacturing activities.
Identify, source, and supervise the installation of new equipment.
Actively participate in safety programs and own a safety system for the site.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Lead, coordinate, and implement manufacturing improvements.
Provide engineering support directly for manufacturing processes.
Design and supervise the construction of fixtures/tooling.
Initiate and lead Lean Manufacturing activities.
Identify, source, and supervise the installation of new equipment.
Actively participate in safety programs and own a safety system for the site.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience with 3D modeling software
Demonstrated self-initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision and leadership
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to see a project through to completion
Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, up/down/across both internal and external organizations
Work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment across organizational boundaries both as an individual and member of a broader team
Demonstrated value for safety and willingness to participate in safety programs including providing peer to peer feedback and driving safety improvements as a matter of daily business
Willingness to work extended hours from time to time to support manufacturing operations.
Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, robotics, or powder coating is a plus.
A general positive attitude and a desire to contribute to an organization driven to be the best in our industry in all aspects.
