Title: Panel Shop Technician
Reports To: Panel Shop Supervisor
Summary:
The Panel Technician is responsible for layout and wiring of electrical components used on Electrical Panels for an individual project.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a team member on the layout and wire routing of electrical components per panel
- Ensure individual tasks are executed in regard to the most effective use of time, cost of supplies, and function of equipment
- Ensure assigned panels are completed based on work requirements utilizing drawings, customer specifications, and manuals as necessary
- Identify/diagnose electrical problems, and recommend adjustments
- Complete repair work as identified by troubleshooting
- Provide accurate time reporting for assigned activities through the companies ERP system
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures
Requirements:
- 2 years’ of manufacturing/shop experience or basic knowledge in electrical field and/or panel assembly
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to prints
- Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed when needed
- High regard for safety standards
- Knowledge of welding and automated assembly is preferred
- Knowledge of Electrical Standards, panel assembly & setup is ideal
- Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Frequently required to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
Travel: This position requires less than 5% out of town and overnight travel
