The Attendance Lead – Labor Economics & Analytics is responsible for the development, communication, and implementation of strategic attendance initiatives for all hourly UAW-represented employees. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of standardized attendance processes across all U.S. FCA facilities consistent with National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) provisions, support attendance discipline administration with all U.S. facilities to ensure consistent application of the CBA and ongoing development of continuous improvement opportunities and tracking of key performance indicators. The Attendance Lead will provide strategic HR data analysis for senior leadership (Directors and Vice Presidents in both HR and Manufacturing) support implementation of temporary workers at all U.S. manufacturing facilities as well as support process improvements with 3rd party disability administrators (Sedgwick & Sykes) to ensure legislated compliance and drive strategic administrative improvements and process accountability. He/she will be the primary liaison with all attendance related stakeholders (e.g., Plant HR, Manufacturing, Legal, Government Affairs, Diversity/FMLA Team, etc.), manage Attendance Analyst to provide strategic direction and manage daily work flow. The person selected will not only provide ongoing coaching and conduct annual performance evaluations, actively participate in FCA-UAW collective bargaining process as a subject matter expert related to attendance administration, support special projects by providing strategic analysis to all levels of FCA related to labor costing, data analytics and scenario planning but will also provide competitor benchmark analysis on HR related disciplines and make recommendations to senior HR leadership for implementation as well as other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Minimum 5 years Human Resources or Finance experience
•Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Access)
•Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees
•Demonstrated problem investigation skills and excellent attention to detail
•Excellent communication skills — written and verbal as well as presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
•Advanced degree preferred
•Ability to deal effectively with union counterparts including negotiations and issue resolution
•Knowledge of CATS, PeopleSoft and Cognos
•Manufacturing experience
