JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor responsibilities include assisting the Plant Director with directing the day to day operations of the Warehouse department, in the most cost-efficient manner, with a strong emphasis on product quality and employee safety.
SCOPE
Ø Support of the Operations of the Warehouse department at the Amasa Site.
REPORTING
ü Reports to the Plant Director.
ü Direct Reports include employees and leads in Warehouse department.
ü Functional relationships include Flooring Mill & EP Manager, Production Planning Manager, Yard Manager, Maintenance Manager, Portables Business Manager, & R&D technical services
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible to supervise team with employee safety and continuous improvement as priorities.
2. Assist in planning, resolving scheduling issues and, cross-training staff when possible.
3. Ensure compliance with established controls, work instructions and procedures for the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
4. Monitor Lean Manufacturing and 5S Program daily to ensure continuous improvement, organization, and cleanliness.
5. Provide the Plant Director with complete and accurate warehouse and shipping data on a daily basis.
6. Provides guidance, training, direction and daily feedback to the team
7. Coordinate and maintain workflow by observing and monitoring personnel, product and equipment.
8. Follow safe practices in all duties, and enforce safety, quality and company policy.
9. Regularly communicate with the Safety Coordinator regarding all aspects of safety.
10. Assist the Plant Director in providing safety training related to the processes and equipment within the department.
11. Process all receipts and orders per Service Level Agreement
12. Will directly manage all in-bound and outbound trucking services/requests
13. Ensure Hazmat guidelines are followed

QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
1. High School Education or equivalent
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-functional supervisory/lead role, or equivalent
3. Exposure to Supply Chain and other business disciplines (Purchasing, manufacturing, logistic) in previous positions or project work preferred.
4. Prior supervisor/leadership experience in manufacturing operation preferred.
5. Outstanding customer service skills while balancing the needs of the firm for strategic thinking and applications.
6. Good reading and writing skills, with basic computer skills. ERP familiarity is preferred.
