POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide functional knowledge (Business and SAP) and support to the SAP Team and to business partners.
Work with the business to develop and drive the implementation of SAP modules using best practices and standards
Overall development responsibilities include the following: analysis of requests, creation of functional specifications and technical designs, development of level of effort estimates and project plans, prioritization and coordination of scheduling work with business users.
Work with the testing team to develop and execute test plans, review and validate the test results
Overall support responsibilities include providing 1st level support across multiple applications.
Ensures the delivery of support that is consistent with end user expectations
Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of complex business problems to be solved through SAP
Analyze current business processes to ensure the SAP system is utilized to full capacity.
Analyze and assist in configuring modules to facilitate standard solutions, and custom solutions where applicable
Partners and aligns IT with business objectives by establishing working relationships at individual and department levels with all business partners.
Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of complex business problems to be solved through SAP.
Assists training department to transform technical, system-related information into reference documentation (User Guides/Quick References) and/or training materials that are easily understood by the user community.
Manages the creation and/or updates to system documentation in accordance with departmental requirements.
Verify adherence to internal control procedures.
Leverages organizational skills to develop plans, define priorities and track activities. Works with team members to establish priorities based on business drivers.
Completion of software assessments and recommendations.
Manages end user expectations by providing regular status updates with end users concerning both support and development initiatives. Domestic as well as International travel is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)
Analyst I : AA Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; or 1-2 years work experience
RTI business experience and Systems Software a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Visio
Proven experience in facilitating the definition of business requirements, designing and implementing solutions.
Analyst II: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field; or 3-5 years work experience in information systems; or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience with SAP Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools highly desirable
Experience with complex systems and applications
Technical experience with SAP Experience with configuration of SAP core modules

Coordinates activities across vendor, end user and internal IT resources to achieve deliverables as defined in project plans. Develops, implements, monitors, and enforces change control, backup, archival and recovery, disaster recovery, security, discrepancy reporting, system maintenance and administration, and system use SOPs
