Kelly Services currently has an opening for a Chemical Process Engineer located in Midland, Michigan. This role acts as a technical resource to lead projects and to provide expertise in specific fields, tools or theory on at least a site wide basis and as a part of related global networks.
The primary function of the Chemical Process Engineer is in overpressure protection and relief design for sites within the region. Value is derived from implementing projects consistent with global benchmarks for project team performance with successfully demonstrated plant operation. In addition, this role provides solutions which add value through work process, unit operations, operating condition or process technology improvements.
Core Responsibilities May Include:

Work closely with the plants providing cost effective solutions on expense and capital projects.\t
Ensure project scope is well defined and meets the business needs in a cost-effective manner.\t
Ensure that the process design is safe, meets company's Loss Prevention Principles and other Environmental Health and Safety requirements.\t
Drive project execution within their discipline.\t
Provide input to project schedule and plans, then monitors progress against the plans.\t
Ensure design deliverables for their discipline meet the needs of the project functions as intended, on time and within budget.\t
Identify technical problems and appropriately engages the business technical center and Subject Matter Experts to resolve issues.\t
Develops overpressure protection solutions for production and research and development equipment and processes.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required - Chemical Engineering is strongly preferred.\t
Experience with process engineering design tools like ASPEN, HTRI and general computer skills like M.S Office.\t
Excellent communication skills.\t
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.\t
Minimum 2 years of industry relevant experience preferably in a plant environment Six Sigma Training/Certification.\t
Experience in diverse process technologies/varying businesses.\t
Operations and/or Commissioning and start-up experience.
