Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Master Machine Operator to join our team in on 2nd shift (4x10 Schedule), in our Laminate Product Plant in Holland, MI.
Shift Schedule: 2nd shift 4x10
This role would be working on 2nd shift Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00pm - 1:30am. Overtime would be done on Fridays.
As a Master Machine Operator, you will:
•Have the unique opportunity to work with stat of the art machinery and to train other machine operators in operating new machinery.
•Be expected to develop and display knowledge, skills, and willingness to learn and perform variety of manufacturing tasks, flex to meet production needs, produce sustained quality and timely results, maintain ongoing positive and collaborative behaviors, and reliably work all scheduled hours.
• Be required to set up, adjust and operate various state of the art equipment, serving as master or expert operator in area for all equipment required for production, per production orders and engineering specifications, to produce quality parts/materials.
•Share knowledge and expertise with others through on the job training.
• Assist engineering with creating and modifying Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) and other computer-driven programs for new and revised parts, including development of tool paths to determine sequence of operations and selection of appropriate tools.
• Monitor material usage and floor-stock to ensure inventory accuracy; report discrepancies to appropriate parties.
•Track and record Statistical Process Control (SPC) data into log as required, ensuring components meet quality standards.
Do you have these required qualifications?
•High school graduate or equivalent (equivalent is defined as equivalent degree OR job-specific work experience OR combination of education and job-specific work experience; three years job-specific work experience equals one year of formal education.
•Two (2) years machine operation experience OR two (2) years specialized training in a machine related vocational program
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments.
•Familiarity with welding processes preferred.
•PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.
•May be required to obtain and maintain valid hi-lo license.
•Ability to work as contributing member within team environment.
•Ability to frequently lift/move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
•Experience working with automated machines in a manufacturing setting
•Experience working in a wood manufactuing facility
