Position Summary:
As an HR Generalist for the HR Consulting team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day service of our clients' employees by supporting our HR Consultants. Primary responsibilities will be to provide assistance in a variety of HR functional areas which may include new hire processing, HR policies and compliance, benefits administration, leave of absence processing, and general employment related questions and concerns.
Required Experience for HR Generalist:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education
One to three years' of HR related experience
Familiarity with a variety of HR areas such as benefits administration, new hire orientation/onboarding, recruiting, HR policies and compliance, and payroll
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, HRP/Prism, or related HRIS Software Programs

Primary Responsibilities for HR Generalist:
Provide stellar service to clients and internal staff by being responsive, timely, and accurate in all communications
Conduct on-site new hire onboarding sessions including coordinating, tracking, and collecting all new hire paperwork, verifying I-9 documentation, benefit plan education and registration, handbook and policy review, and system registration
Act as the liaison between employees and internal business partners to answer employee questions to ensure a positive employee experience
Support HR Consultants upon request on client objectives and tasks
In coordination with the HR Consultant, facilitate leave of absence claims management
Assist HR Consultants with creating new policies and making edits to client handbooks
Support HR Consultants with regard to the benefits open enrollment process including preparation of materials, assist in conducting company meetings, answering employee questions, and collection of all elections and successful communication of elections internally
Follow up with HR team, clients, and employees on any open items in order to solve issues and provide excellent service
Understand client practices and business objectives and execute on such deliverables in a timely and organized manner. Be familiar with the clients various policies and practices in order to provide guidance and answer employee questions accurately
With assistance of the HR Consultants, provide guidance on employee relations and workplace issues
Assist HR consultants in completing file audits at client sites
Partner with members of the HR team in accomplishing team projects and process improvements
Perform hands-on project work for clients which may involve new client implementation, research, drafting and developing materials and other deliverables
Local travel required to client sites
General Working Conditions:
This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
