Job Summary
AECOM National Water Business Line is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as Senior Program Manager for major pursuits of large multi-year Water Resources projects.
The successful candidate plans, schedules, conducts, and supervises/leads the most technically competent staff within a multi-discipline team in the program and construction management, design support during construction, client and third party interface and coordination and other program related activities on high complexity water projects, with a focus on Tunnels, Dams & Levees construction programs.
Involves continuous client contact, provides overall project direction to the project team(s) while providing information about the status of the project to the client, stakeholders and internal management.
Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of program and construction management activities, including project budgets, schedules, and resources. Plans and conducts work requiring a significant level of judgment in the independent evaluation of requirements for complex water capital programs.
Applies knowledge of design, construction and operations to devise approaches to problems encountered.
Ensures interface of project elements with other systems for overall quality and safety of built facility.
Initiates or escalates the correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project on schedule and within budget.
Also, responsible for client development.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering or related field
15+ years experience in Project Construction Management of Water Resource projects with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values in excess of $50M
Experience with communications and presentations, public outreach activities, and public speaking.
Experience with alternative delivery projects and methodologies.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in construction management or civil engineering
Professional Engineering (PE) license
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience with $50M+ Tunnels, Dams & Levees projects
