Summary:
As a Product Marketing Manager, Surfactants, you will be responsible for promoting profitable sales growth within your region and nationally through the development and management of strategic supplier relationships at the corporate level, and through managing the product segments in the chemicals specialty division associated with those key supplier partners. The Product Marketing Manager, Surfactants will be an expert in the market growth drivers impacting the industry and your suppliers.This is a leadership position in the company and also serves as the liaison between the supplier and the rest of the organization.
Major Responsibilities:
•Developing and executing business strategies that maintain alignment with key suppliers, focusing on key markets to drive growth and maximize overall profitability for business.
•Developing and maintaining alignment with regional sales team(s) in order to enhance profitability of region. Understanding sales trends and communicate new sales opportunities among sales team to nationally capitalize on regional trends.
•Developing metrics and conducting ongoing monitoring and measurement of supplier performance against metrics.
•Performing regular analysis and maintenance of pricing to ensure margin optimization.
•Managing cost negotiations with suppliers, including any cost increases or decreases.
•Driving change to optimize supplier relationships. Including, but not limited to, developing and distributing communications, developing and conducting training, developing processes and procedures and checking for ongoing compliance with changes.

Qualifications & Experience:
•4-year Technical or Business degree (technical degree preferred); MBA desired.
•Minimum of 8 years of Chemical Industry experience in sourcing, sales, marketing and/or technical service is desired.
•Proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP Business Warehouse, and Salesforce.com preferred.
•Business/Strategic orientation: must demonstrate strategic thinking and ability to understand implications of decisions; must possess high business acumen and ability to understand and optimize efforts to drive growth and profitability.
•Leadership orientation: must demonstrate skills in managing and developing people, high emotional intelligence, excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills for effective coordination within the department and across the organization.
•Negotiation skills: Must possess ability to establish strong working relationships and persuade/influence others; ability to negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements with suppliers and customers in a mutually beneficial manner while maintaining professionalism and achieving goals.
•Understanding of the "sales mindset" and commercial orientation.
•Strong organizational skills.
•Must be authorized to work in the United States.
