Role
Work with production engineering through PDT and CIT participation to ensure implementation of a robust overall service strategy within the area of power and signal distribution.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure packaging requirements and best practices are communicated and supported by product engineering
- Identify and develop warranty cost avoidance business cases to justify service packaging, repair and parts release requirements
- Advocate global service wiring repair requirements
- Develop and release sub-system service plans to communicate service parts release strategy to product engineering
- Identify and validate all special tool requirements associated with wire repair
- Participate in technical peer reviews to ensure compliance to standards, and technical accuracy
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems - working technical knowledge with prior automotive service or engineering experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of first line supervisory techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
- Ability to function with limited direction, or in autonomous situations
- Team Player with excellent organization and communication skills
Required:
- BSEE, BSME or BS Automotive Technology
- ASE / GM ASEP certification preferred
- Hands on vehicle repair experience preferred
- Wire Harness Packaging and/or Part Release Experience preferred
