Process & Quality Engineer
General Responsibilities:
Process & Quality Engineer in this position is responsible for developing process improvements while also managing quality systems and expectations. It is within their discretion to analyze any activity on the floor, test new methods for such activities, and implement improved processes and procedures. This individual will be responsible for all Processes & Quality engineering-related activities for existing and new products for assigned customers.
Skills You'll Have:
- Develops and implements systems to improve consistency and quality of both products and processes.
- Identifies process improvements and cost reduction opportunities. Implements approved changes. Validates improvement using data analysis.
- Interfaces with customers to partner in sharing practices and improvement plans.
- Develops and maintains general assembly process standards.
- Develop and maintain process guidelines and work instructions for the assembly of electrical control and power systems.
- Develop, maintain, and validate control plans and quality validation systems.
- Uses data analysis in monitoring and improving assembly and validation processes.
- Assesses and recommends improvements in material flow and accountability.
- Develops processes and systems to maintain records for serialized subassembly and final assembly products being produced.
- Develops, implements, and maintains appropriate quality systems and documents, such as PPAPs, PFMEAs, control plans, packaging and shipping plans, supplier quality assessments, etc.
- Works in partnership with internal engineering, electrical and purchasing leadership.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quality/manufacturing or industrial engineering.
Physical Requirements:?
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to local day travel on occasion.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
