THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MATERIALS HANDLER SUPERVISOR (Grayling, MI), Position Description Number D0731000 and is part of the MI Camp Grayling, National Guard.
Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated non-supervisory work. The occupation and non-supervisory grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Materials Handler, WG-6907-06. (1) Planning: Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies. (2) Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures. (3) Administration: Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. (4) Performs the non-supervisory work of the function as needed. (5) Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. (6) Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. (7) Performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your Resume must show at least [ 36 ] months in each of the following areas: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Military Requirements- Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection,
individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and
National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS.

Personnel section. Quality of Experience - Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be
evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however,
established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience
and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the
duties of the position. *Other Requirements - For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have
a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
