Job Summary:
Performs compounding of Ferndale products by operating production equipment, measuring/weighing raw materials, and assuring batches manufactured comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Maintains accurate record documentation related to compounding activities. Performs cleaning of compounding equipment. May help in validating processes and equipment that are directly related to the functions of compounding.
Essential Functions:
- Weighs all raw materials for batch compounding.
- Operates platform balances and scales.
- Issues raw materials to staging and compounding areas.
- Cleans compounding equipment, rooms, tanks, and staging areas.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
0-2 years laboratory experience with measuring & mixing raw materials in a FDA regulated industry. Basic mechanical and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Windows. Good math skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with peers and management.
ALL LEVELS -
Required to lift 55 lbs vertically along with push and pull requirements of 50 lbs force (rolling loads).
WORKING ENVIRONMENT - Temperature controlled; Required personal protection equipment provided by employer.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT - Safety shoes, non-prescription safety glasses-supplied by employer, other safety equipment including ear protection, dust masks/respirators (dual cartridge half mask used an average of 15 minutes per day, gloves also supplied by employer. Education:
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
