GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs diagnostic evaluations, communicates evaluation results and recommendations as part of multidisciplinary teams within Center for Human Development (evaluating children with learning, developmental, and behavioral concerns). Oversees/manages all testing/evaluation services, including the fully licensed psychologists on the evaluation team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Conducts family/client interviews. Makes decisions with family regarding evaluation procedures.
Administers psychological (and possibly educational) tests, interprets results, creates assessment reports.
Participates in staff conferences, formulates impressions and recommendations. Creates final summary reports.
Communicates evaluation results to family/client.
Participates in staff meetings, interviews potential new hires, helps solve general office concerns.
Meaningful Participation as part of OUWBSOM Medical Staff.
Administrative oversight of psychologists conducting evaluation services within the department.
Coordinates efforts of department's clinical and support teams to optimize evaluation services.
Assists Director and Medical Director with initiatives, including marketing/media relations, philanthropy, and financial decisions.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education / Training: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.
B. Work Experience: At least 5 years post-licensure assessment experience with pediatric populations, especially with learning, behavioral, and developmental disorders. Administrative experience preferred.
C. Certification, Licensure, Registration: Full licensure to practice psychology in Michigan - Required by law.
D. Other Qualifications: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills and high competence with diagnostic assessment and differential diagnosis. Must be able to interact effectively with a patient population that often deals with sensitive subject matter and work well with a multidisciplinary team. Early childhood experience is desirable, in addition to competence with school-aged children and with adolescents.
