Position Summary
Spectrum Health Medical Group is seeking an Academic Family Medicine physician to join our highly rated Family Medicine Residency Clinic.
The Spectrum Health/Michigan State University Family Medicine Residency program is unique—6 residents per year work in both an urban and rural settings, with rotations at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, and Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville. There are two main outpatient clinic sites adjacent to each hospital. Residents will rotate at both hospital sites, but most of the inpatient rotations will be at United Hospital in Greenville. Residents will be assigned to a clinic, based upon preference in their R1 year. The Grand Rapids clinic has a more urban feel, while the Greenville clinic is a certified rural health center.
The residency center is small enough to provide personal attention to each of our residents’ interests yet large enough to provide all of the amenities found by being associated with Spectrum Health, a large nationally recognized hospital system. Our new faculty member will enjoy teaching residents and students, patient care, administrative time, along with scholarly activity and the ability to do research if interested. Interest in Obstetrics and/or inpatient medicine would be a plus but not required.
Providing the highest quality patient care and teaching environment is top priority.
