Position Summary
Responsible to manage retail promotion planning for center store merchandising. Ensure the department merchandising plans, programs, strategic initiatives and campaigns achieve budgeted sales, margin, private brand penetration, Overall Satisfaction (OSAT) and associate satisfaction objectives.

Business or related area or an equivalentcombination of education and/or experience

Three years retail merchandising experience to include three years experience with retail merchandising and/or procurement

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Manage the center store merchandising operations and promotion planning to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets for retail.
Manage department objectives and monitor the budgeted objectives for department sales and profits utilizingprofitability scorecards and profit and loss statements.ensure the merchandising programs, initiatives and campaigns achieve budgeted sales and gross profit objectives.
Responsible for the communicating, and monitoring of department merchandising processes in all retail locations.
Analyze financial data to accurately plan, budget and forecast promotions, and post-promotion analysis to measure program effectiveness and recommend changes for future execution of plans accordingly.
Execute strategies for private brand growth and profitability and work with private label and COE to increase sales.
Maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally (i.e., cross-functional business partners, vendors, customers) and develop collaborative efforts for increased market share, customer loyalty and profitability.
Identify opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance merchandising plans and work cross-functionally (i.e., Distribution, Shelf Technology, IT, Pricing, Accounting, Procurement, etc.) to implement improvements to meet company goals and objectives.
Ensure that federal and state regulations and company standards are met for product freshness and food safety.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best Merchandising practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong influencing skills. Ability to effectively manage internal and external business relationships and work collaboratively. Excellent organization, prioritization, project management, analytical and decision-making skills. Strong financial/business acumen skills. Demonstrated knowledge of merchandising and procurementprinciples and skills, and in-depth knowledge of retail center store merchandising. Proficient in Microsoft office applications (i.e. Word,Excel, PowerPoint) required; Access experience preferred. Ability to travel up to 30%.
