Key Responsibilities:
A serious candidate for this challenging opportunity must be a self - starter, require minimal supervision, work well under pressure, and perform to meet schedules and deadlines. Desired candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team with different levels of staff across the office and region. Technical responsibilities include:
- Map production to support a vast array of project types including:
- Soil and groundwater monitoring and remediation
- Municipal and Federal Government
- Hydrology
- Wetlands and Threatened and Endangered Species
- Brownfield redevelopment
- Geospatial Analysis
- Data creation, collection and conversion
- Heads - up digitization
- Photo interpretation
- Georectification
Skills / Qualifications
Basic / Required Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science or related field
- Fluent in ArcGIS Suite 10.X or greater
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Computer literate with excellent organizational skills
- Skilled in the acquisition of publicly available GIS data
- Knowledgeable in coordinate systems and projections
- Familiarity with management and creation of geodatabases
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Excel, Access and Power Point
Preferred Qualifications:
- Creation and analysis of Raster data
- 3 - Dimensional Modeling
- Creating, editing and analyzing Vector data
- Familiar with Spatial Analysis techniques including:
- Interpolation
- Spatial selection queries
- Buffer, Union, Join, Relate, Dissolve
- Working knowledge of Topology
- Topographic and Bathymetric analysis
- Fluent with coordinate systems, projections, and conversions
- Programming in Python, C#, VB
- Knowledge of various data such as CAD, GPS, flat files and ability to convert and work with them in GIS environment
- Experience creating surveys and forms in Survey123
- Previous experience working at environmental or engineering consulting firm
Must pass drug test, background check and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Wood's driving (MVR) policy.
