As a team member at HCR ManorCare your duties may include, but will not be limited to:
•Assist Physical Therapist in treatment for the patient, and assist them with exercises and performing daily activities.
•Interview patients, perform a physical examination, and gain and update and medical history from the patient.
•Conduct manual exercises, assist patients in performing activities, such as daily living, functional, and devices to support recovery like crutches/wheelchair.
A PTA performs physical therapy programs under the general supervision of a physical therapist unless the state practice is more stringent.Qualifications
Experience
Prior experience as a PTA preferred, but not necessary. Educational Requirements
Graduate of accredited two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program and obtained a passing score on the National Physical Therapy Examination or licensed, certified, or registered in accordance with applicable State law.Category
