Company is a plastic injection - automotive interior trim.
The Quality Engineer will ensure that the products produced meet both external and internal specifications and expectations.
Assist with daily plant floor reviews and/or issues that may occur; provide training to Inspectors
Verify all signed-off master samples used for visual control per Quality Manager direction
Update quality alerts and work instructions as necessary
Maintain monthly performance charts (measurables) per IATF 16949 standards for internal metrics as well as customer metrics
Track and file certifications for gages and fixtures and measuring equipment along with yearly re-certifications
Assist in the review of customer complaints/8D's; customer contact and assistance when necessary
Assist in dimensional checks, GR&Rs, capability studies and reviews
Understand and communicate all customer specific requirements
Develop all PPAP PSO and quality documentation required
First point of contact in regard to customer issues
Knowledge of customer specific problem solving methodology
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Tier 1 and Tier 2 experience; GM preferred
1 year in the plastics industry
PPAP and PSO experience
Experience in Powerway, GM SupplyPower, Covisint
Ability to travel locally during the day to suppliers
