The Aero/Thermal System Integration Responsible Engineer will ensure that vehicle functional objectives are achieved and will recommend actions to the product team. The SIR will conduct reviews of functional systems including CFD analysis, cooling systems status with program chiefs, development test planning with lab engineer, and annual hot trip execution for assigned programs. The engineer will also lead the communications and reporting of issues which include status updates and driving issue resolution. The Aero/Thermal System Integration Responsible Engineer will be responsible for proactive planning and tracking of vehicle validation, active support of aero/thermal attributes, and DVP&R test and reporting. The engineer will occasionally be required to interact with members of PDO.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
•Three years of relevant experience
•Chauffeur’s license or the willingness and ability to get one
•Strong program management, time management, planning, and follow up skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
•Experience with thermal development, HVAC or cooling systems
•Experience with data acquisition systems
•Experience with drive cell/wind tunnel testing
•Experience working with and directing bargaining unit mechanics
•Ability to work with cross-functional teams
•Highly motivated, self-starter with strong leadership, excellent communication, and organizational skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability
•Commercial driver’s license
•Must be able to lead and coordinate program and technical issue resolution
