Plant Maintenance Technician
Kelly Engineering Resources has an outstanding direct hire opportunity for a mechanic/technician with experience repairing high voltage stationary generator s.
Our client is leader in clean energy production . Due to growth, we are searching for a maintenance technician with experience trouble shooting and repairing power generators. Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM . Weekend work & on call rotates among the team.
Pay Range: $20.00-24.00 per hour plus monthly production bonus up to $1000/month and yearly personal performance bonus up to $5000.00
Job Scope of the Successful Plant Maintenance Technician: Monitor, operate and maintain both mobile and stationary generators up to 1500 kW.
Monitor plant operations
Monitor and adjust plant controls to maximize performance and reduce/prevent equipment downtime
Respond to plant alarms and learn appropriate corrective action and execute plant shut down/start up procedures
Facility & equipment inspections
PM & repairs on gas and piston engines, generators, controls and accessory equipment.
Replace worn or broken parts, refurbish or rebuild equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance
Daily maintenance, trouble shooting and repair.
Maintains inventory of tools, parts, fluids, maintenance planning, scheduling and purchasing of materials & supplies.
Record keeping and documentation - daily, weekly, monthly logs.
Actively commit to and participate in safety training, and ensure compliance with State & Federal permitting, EHS laws, codes, an reports.
Work on facility wide projects
Communicate and coordinate all plant activities with facility management.
Qualifications of the Successful Plant Maintenance Technician:
HS Diploman/GED
1-5 years' experience operating and maintaining high voltage power generators with gas or diesel engines.
Record of following, executing and complying with all safety protocols.
Read and interpret SOPs, safety & service manuals, blueprints and other technical documentation.
Participate in all training (operational, maintenance & safety). Will be either online or at OEM facility.
Benefits: Medical $0-50.00 per pay period contribution for BC/BS Michigan, Dental, Vision, 1 week vacation 1st year, 2 weeks 2nd year. 3 weeks, 5 yers, 3 Sick days, 9 paid holidays, $200 steel toed boot reimbursement & all other PPE is supplied, tuition reimbursement.
