Summary
The primary function of the Room Attendant is to maintain the quality, cleanliness and service of guest rooms/ suites. The Room Attendant reports to the Executive Housekeeper and responds accordingly to the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisor and hotel managers including the Manager-On-Duty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all company/hotel standards and policy as established in the team member handbook.
- Cleans guest rooms in accordance with brand and Prominence Hospitality quality and time standards: Check-out room cleaned in 30 minutes/Stay-over room cleaned in 15 minutes.
- Clean guest rooms to include but not limited to; make beds, clean bathrooms, vacuum/clean floors, dust/clean furniture.
- Moves and arranges furniture.
- Collects soiled linens for laundering and receive/store linen supplies in linen closets.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Cleans/polishes lighting fixtures, tile surfaces and trim.
- Sweep and scrub floors.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture or draperies.
- Washes walls, ceilings and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Replenish bathroom and guest rooms supplies.
- Reports room status on daily work assignment
- Welcomes Guest with verbal greeting and a smile.
- Change linen and towels.
- Dispose of trash in guest rooms/suites.
- Tags and turns in all Lost & Found items to supervisor daily.
- Report all repair needs to supervisor.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and mandatory hotel functions.
- Cross-train within department.
- Complete all required reports, records and/or logs.
- Maintain and organize all work areas.
- Other duties as required.

The Team Member in this position is responsible for following Prominence Hospitality’s safety policies and procedures, promoting safety, and identifying areas for improvement. The Team Member will be reviewed annually on workplace safety.

While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and consistent/recurring vibration. The team member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
