ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate.
One year of education in business, medical administration, or coding or related courses or a minimum of one year experience in a position requiring high degree of judgment, ability to quickly prioritize, remain organized in a fast paced setting and still demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Additional college and business courses preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
PROFICIENCIES
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and on the phone;
Strong aptitude for math and problem solving;
In-depth ability and comprehension of computer program essentials for scheduling, tracking and reporting using a calendar feature, proprietary medical software, data entry and professional business programs;
The ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute, and
Proven ability to use standard office equipment, including printing, faxing, scanning, multi-line phone system,
Meets Home Health and Medicare standards as evidenced by criminal background check and fingerprinting.
Comprehends and adheres to HIPAA principles of confidentiality and patient privacy—including the understanding that a breech is grounds for immediate dismissal.

Scheduling
· Answers scheduling phones, develops monthly schedule for services and supports delivery by Personal Care Aides (Aides) and home chore aides for their service area; and enters schedule into VividNet.
· Prepares and posts monthly schedules on a monthly basis (email and USPS).
· Reschedules as necessary and notifies necessary participants (nurse, aides, patients, family members and other schedulers) regarding schedule changes and inputs schedule change into current software.
· Is also available to perform these specific duties on an evolving on-call system with other Schedulers.
· Alerts Aides to change in care plan status per nurse or physician.
· Alerts Aide, nurse and other SBC Specialists (if needed) of change in demographics-make data input changes on records as needed.
· Maintains all department files in an accurate and timely manner.
· Enters patient data per procedure and updates patient information in system, including identifying staff involved in care and service of patient.
· Schedules educational courses as required by Munson Home Health and schedules Aides according to “Manager approved” continuing education opportunities.
Billing
· Verifies shifts, processes schedules, reviews pre-post and pre-process reports for accuracy and adjudicates corrections prior to posting client accounts.
Coding
· Verifies accuracy of “graphics” documentation with assigned schedules and accurately completes field staff (Aides, nurses) time sheets per deadlines determined by SBC Supervisor in preparation for bi-weekly payroll.
General
· Pages, emails, texts, or calls staff (depending on staff location and communication choice) with urgent messages.
· Assists with new employee training and orientation as directed by SBC Lead or PD Manager.
· Must check email, voice mail and keep calendars up to date.
· Performs all other duties as assigned by SBC Lead or PD Manager.

Physical Activities

- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
