Job description: Title: Research Associate – CDMTR $45,000. - $50,000. / Posted to: 9/30/18 Employee Name: TBD Supervisor: Christopher Wojcik, Associate Program Director Purpose: This Research Associate position in MPHI’s Center for Data Management and Translational Research (CDMTR) provides research design and support; statistical analysis of complex data sets; design and implementation of comprehensive program evaluations; development of data collection instrumentation; oversight of data collection activities; oral presentation and written reports of research findings and other project-related information; and participation in project workgroups and committees. Duties and Responsibilities: * Design, coordinate, and conduct research projects based on sound scientific methodologies. * Design and implement a comprehensive evaluation plan including objectives, questions, and process/outcome measures. * Assists with data identification, collection, management, and analysis of relevant project data. * Provide project support coordination by identifying project needs, developing work plans and timelines and writing progress and final project reports. * Develop databases in varying formats to accommodate project data. * Develop data collection tools such as: surveys, interview questionnaires, focus group questions. * Compile and summarize results in presentations, reports, articles, and other written materials. * Provide statistical consultation. * Collect and analyzes qualitative data. * Act as a liaison with clients, vendors and funding agencies. * Establish and maintain a credible and professional relationship with clients. * Disseminate, through peer-reviewed publication, professional conferences, teaching and public policy forums, the findings and implications of program studies and scientific advances. * Provide support to the development of new MPHI projects, including the conceptualization, writing and production of project outlines, work plans and budgets. * Provision of daily project updates Team Leader and Program Director MPHI employees are expected to maintain a positive, strong, credible, professional and interpersonal relationship with all parties relevant of MPHI projects, and represent the best interest of MPHI at all times.” Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or other related social science field. Experience: A minimum of one to two years of related and progressively more responsible work experience in duties similar to those described above. Important Skills and Characteristics: Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong client/customer orientation. Able to work well in team situations. Self-motivated, able to complete work in timely manner, and handle multiple tasks at one time with minimal supervision. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly in Word, Excel, and Access) familiarity with email/internet browser software, and working knowledge of SPSS.
