Role Summary:
Can do basic data entry tasks. Practices and understands Quality and Environmental standards. Understands Shipping/Receiving procedures and other departmental procedures. Can perform QAD transactions using basic computer skills.
This job is located at our container plant; Buursma. We have 2 schedules: 12 hour shifts on days (6:00am - 6:15pm) --OR-- 12 hour shifts on nights (6:00pm - 6:15am). This is a rotating night; 2-3-2 schedule.
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for shipping, receiving and inventory control
- Responsible for maintaining supplies and finished goods levels in the Fabrication Area throughout the day
- Loads and stages shipments per traffic schedule in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintains finished goods warehouse organization
- Understands and demonstrates departmental procedures
- Ensures compliance to quality standards and work instructions and procedures
- Understands and practices proper inventory control and practices basic FIFO
- Ensure accuracy of shipping request and pre-shipper records
- Works closely with Customer Service to maintain a quality level of order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and discrepancies
- Performs cycle counts as needed
- Maintains packaging and other supplies
- Understands and works within safety regulations, laws and policies
- Housekeeping and 5S
- Participate and supports Cascade Enterprise System (CES) goals and activities
- May assist with handling materials to and from the Custom Department
- May assist with minimal amounts of fabrication work
